Green slime and neon skeletons.

Posted by Hypo-Chon-Artist Feb. 19, 2010 @ 3:29 PM EST

In the 3 years since I've joined this little-site-o-horrors I have yet to submit anything original (due to me being too damn lazy to learn how to make them). Lately (the past year) I've been coming up with a lot of ideas that I think might have potential! I just need to get off my skinny ass and learn the tricks-o-da-trade of flash animation!

Here is one idea I've been sort of slowly building on for awhile.

I've been thinking of making a cartoon of a character I've been visualizing in my mind for some time. Think of like a tall skinny guy who's skeleton becomes illuminated in contact with the night. I envision his skull and arm-bones being visible through his skin and glowing differing colors. Like those Halloween costumes with the shirt and gloves with bones on them that glow in the dark. But my characters bones glow only at night and they shift colors like from normal white to green to purple to blue to orange. And each shift in color augments his abilities and at first the shifts happen at random. But as he becomes more experienced he gains control over when and which ones happen.

Yeah its still in the concept stages. I have a LOT of thinking to do on this guy if I decide to make him into a full fledged animation. Like WHY do his bones glow and HOW does his bones being visible though his skin give him powers exactly? His weakness? Any family? friends? villains? Whats the setting?

If anyone's interested in helping I would really appreciate it. Just be wary of the fact I don't know ANYTHING about making flash animations and hardly anything about the cartooning process. So try and cut me some slack.

I will try to post updates on any progress I make.
